SES Light hey guys..not really sure where to put this but i had a question. this morning my SES light came on after i did a hard acceleration and hasn't turned off yet. i've checked google, checked my fuel cap and fluid levels. anyone know what could have triggered it? thanks in advance guys! |
Get a friend with an OBD reader to retrieve the code for you and start from there.... Or go to a professional. |
Whats the make/model/year of the car? Could be a 02 sensor. |
I'm assuming SES is the same as CEL? If so, might be O2 as tegra mentioned. I had the same issue last year when I went WOT and bounced off the rev limiter, my CEL came on and it was the O2 sensor. If SES is something else, no clue. |

There's only one way to diagnose Spoiler! |
If it's service engine soon it's just a counter you can reset If it's srs airbag light, check the buckle or seat sensor. |
Do we have to guess what car you drive too? |

By the way, an OBD reader is less than $100 now. It's a good investment, even if you don't work on your own car. It takes a lot of guess work out of the question. |
If you just want to read/clear codes, you can get one for under $50. |
