Get a friend with an OBD reader to retrieve the code for you and start from there.... Or go to a professional.

Whats the make/model/year of the car? Could be a 02 sensor.

Akinari 09-06-2016 11:17 PM

I'm assuming SES is the same as CEL?

If so, might be O2 as tegra mentioned. I had the same issue last year when I went WOT and bounced off the rev limiter, my CEL came on and it was the O2 sensor.

If SES is something else, no clue.

Without an OBD reader, it's hard to tell what it is.

Without knowing the year, make and model of the car, it's even harder to tell.

There's only one way to diagnose

Spoiler!

If it's service engine soon it's just a counter you can reset

If it's srs airbag light, check the buckle or seat sensor.

Do we have to guess what car you drive too?

Oh cool, we're getting somewhere now.

By the way, an OBD reader is less than $100 now. It's a good investment, even if you don't work on your own car. It takes a lot of guess work out of the question.

If you just want to read/clear codes, you can get one for under $50.
