Antivirus, windows defender good enough?

all I do with a PC is gaming, web browsing, e-banking, photoeditting, word processing, and porn collection management. A couple of my friends got their e-banking account hacked, no detail on their windows setup, all I know they are Windows 10. Do I need Norton, Kaspersky, or AVG antivirus, I just afraid the win defender isn't strong enough.

Norton?

:fuckthatshit:

Window defender + malwarebytes
Add some good ad block add on while you're at it.

Unless you go to tons of shady site, these should be enough.

Last I checked those were all bloated piles of junk. My go-to for years has been Windows Defender/MSE, Malwarebytes and Spybot 1.6.2. Keep your software up to date (Java, flash, etc), do regular scans, don't open sketchy emails and you should be okay.

As long as you're not doing a bunch of movie, video game, and porn piracy on easily accessed sites you should be fine with just defender. If you do some of that at least add malware bytes.

people have been saying never install 2 antivirus or 2 anti-malware, is it true?
I will try malware bytes first.

Don't run two active scanners at the same time, no

I use Comodo for many many years now, and it's been working OK for me. It doesn't have bloated ware like AVG, Norton, and McAfee.

I also manually run MalwareBytes once in a while.

If you stay away from shady websites and applications/software, you're really OK.
