i know that feeling,
second job is working at a club and so many times people get there phones out and record us. But it is a different story when you want us to rush into a group of people fighting and help you out, boy/lady who cried wolf

fliptuner 09-28-2016 07:12 PM

I left my phone at home today (on purpose) and it was pretty awesome

I gotta say, I have a lot more positive interactions with strangers in a day than negative. There are a lot more good people than shit out there, sometimes you just need to coax it out a bit. If someone sucks that bad just call them a cunt and move on. Chances are they are like that because their life is shit. Bad people have bad lives, and you can take solace in that in some sick way haha.

That said, sometimes when people whip out their phones we get gems like this:

So many sheeples concerned about the possibility of their videos going viral if they're the first ones to get their TMZ-like videos uploaded to youtube. Gotta get those views and likes hurr durr.

The reason I'm bringing this issue to light is today I was at Tim Horton's getting a coffee. Like usual, its always busy in the morning at Timmy Ho's just a fucking gong show. Some turd decides its ok to cut in line in front of this elderly couple so I call him out and tell him to get in the back of the line or I'll report his ass to the manager. Insults are thrown back and forth and then he decides for no apparent reason to pull out his phone and start recording me. In the end douche stayed put like an ignorant jackass. Wasn't going to start a fist fight over it. Funny thing is I asked for the manager when it was my turn in line to order and he didn't give a flying fuck, guess too busy to care. Will be sending a complaint letter to the corporate head offices of Tim Horton's. This should be good ;)

Only saving grace is I paid for the couple's order. I swear to god everything's going to hell in a hand basket. I blame most of it on social media and the internet. I know phones have their uses but people are fucking zombies w/ pokermon go, instagram, twitter, tinder all this crap that's making society go down the gutter.

If the guy starts pulling his phone and starts recording you, ensure that you make him state what he did on camera and ask how does he feels after. Usually the person shuts up or makes up something on the spot to make themselves look better. Also, when your making that head office complaint, ask what's the policy on recording on premises. Usually businesses discourage recording due to privacy issues and clearly this manager didn't care or didn't know..

I think OP has a misconception that morals and ethics are universal and objective. when in fact, they are not. at all.

in the end, you get what you get. and that's it. If you feel better about yourself cuz you were "nicer" or more "morally responsible" then good for you. some people don't.

maybe he was in a rush...

maybe he was in MORE of a rush than you?

maybe he just didnt give two flying fucks?

what are you going to do about it?

nothing. exactly. and he knows that.

like someone else said, if you don't have a solution, you're just being loud and obnoxious. and he still won. lol.

like i said, u get what you get in the end.

he got his coffee earlier and fucked off to wherever he had to go.

you got your pride and ego fulfilled by making a scene and paying for some strangers coffee.

the old people got free coffee.

everyone won.

what more do you want lol.

the issue is so small and pathetic, it's like... who cares. it's not like it was limited edition coffee. he delayed you 30-60 seconds. you sized him up... you thought u could change the outcome, but you didn't...

whatevers. first world problems.

i would be more concerned at the fact that one has to wake up everyday and spend 8-9 hours gruelling at their fucking job just to get by, and you have to do this till you retire?! than worrying about some fucking dude cutting in line for coffee.

perspective man. life has many way worse things that reoccur every fucking 24 hours for the next 30-40 years.

I'm primarily concerned about how i'm going to achieve my dreams and goals faster, than the guy that cuts me off on the highway, causing like a few seconds of heightened emotional state lol.

If you backed INTO your driveway, leaving it would be a lot easier and you will be less likely to inconvenience other drivers. Just a thought. BTW...YES, patience is in short supply these days.

Verdasco 09-30-2016 12:18 PM

The youtube clip is blocked from our work firewall, fighting and pho restaurant, im guessing you guys are talking about the halloween "chuck a dish across the restaurant" asian brawl?

that feeling when you get chuck'd a hard ass plate onto your forehead and it doesnt break :lawl:

You're assuming that every time I come home all the cars are gone? If I back into my driveway that means I'm holding up traffic as I do so. I'm fact, I'm more likely to hold up more people because I can't control how many cars are behind me when I approach my driveway, where when I'm leaving I can try to get out when I only see one car on the horizon.

The real issue is it's a 50km/h street yet everyone goes 80 and you can't see cars coming over the hump in the road about 50 yards down.
