You were always able to try one in person at EQ3 as well. You can also try most of the other big ones in certain stores just look it up. I know when i was looking along South Granville had Endy, Casper, and another big one I forget that you could try. But honestly trying a mattress in a store doesn't mean anything because no matter how comfy you think it is your body takes weeks sometimes months to adjust before you truly know which does make the 100 day trials tempting for that reason alone.

Seahorse from Kingsway and Rupert, have had it for over 2 years now and still perfect! I've got the diamond queen mattress which has 2 levels of firmness on it (reverseable). I love firm mattresses and hate coils, so if you're on the same boat, I highly suggest giving Seahorse a try, they're a VERY well known brand in HK.

Ikea. I bought a hybrid, foam on top/ springs bottom. It's the best mattress I've ever bought.

Went to the Casper store today to check them out. The hybrid model (springs below memory foam) feels more supportive and comfortable than the all foam. Not cheap though... $1,400, plus a base of some sort. Add in tax and you are looking at $2,000 for a bed in a box.

I was reading that all-foam mattresses make other activities in the bed other than sleep more difficult...

Anybody got Bloom mattress? just bought it and taking delivery on saturday. Felt comfy and decent support. might be a false feeling as any other mattress feels comfier than our current sagging one.

I have a tempur-pedic and i have back issues after sleeping on it for a few years. Doctor recommended me to switch to a harder one.

Is Capser/endy harder?

Casper is the harder of the 2 but imo is still soft as a mother fucker.

Look at Silk + Snow, their hybrid model is similar to Casper Hybrid but 850 instead of 1400+ - or check FB marketplace for the mattress lady (forget her name). Logan & Cove also similar, hybrid coil/foam, and what I have now (see my review a few posts above).

Can confirm hybrid mattresses are better than foam mattresses for fun time :ifyouknow:

Douglas is firmer, for all-foam mattresses. Otherwise I think a hybrid would provide more support.

Yah I was looking at the Logan and Cove online since it is a hybrid. Going to see if any stores locally carry it to see if I can try it out.

I'm wondering how Logan & Cove and the Casper Hybrid would last over a 5 to 7 year lifespan. Obviously they have warranties, but it probably doesn't cover if they just become uncomfortable.

I've had a king size endy for the last year or so. Hands down best mattress I've owned.

Friends that I've recommended Endy to haven't been disappointed either.

Jesus Logan and Cove is pretty pricey in comparison to the others. But that might be due to the hybrid and the others are just foam. Logan and Cove has a sister brand called Recore

It's less than the Casper Hybrid/Casper Wave Hybrid - which I find ridiculous in pricing. At that price, I'm buying the Westin Heavenly bed!

Hybrids are always more - Silk + Snow is $850 for a queen hybrid, Logan & Cove is $999. Extra two inches (12" vs 14") for $150.

I kind of like the latex mattresses, but have no idea where to get them locally.

For cheaper mattresses, check out Debbie on the FB Marketplace who sells mattresses - she has a few listings up including Hamuq, Logan & Cove etc.

I vote for Seahorse too. I switched to Seahorse during my university days because I wore heels all the time and had a tendency to carry my backpack on one shoulder so I ended up with mild back pain. It took about 2 weeks to get accustomed to the hardness and my back problem went away. I've been using Seahorse for 15+ years and I can't live without my mattress! I will actually miss my mattress when I'm on vacation.

roastpuff... how do you like your Logan & Cove hybrid mattress since you last posted? Seriously looking at upgrading from my 6-year old Kingsdown now, it is killing me.

It's been treating me well, so far so good. I get a good night's sleep, and my back/hips feel good. A bit warm for me when we have the IKEA Rosendun mattress protector on, might be because of our duvet combined with less breathability.

I love the hybrid from Logan & cove. It's very comfortable and it is a lot firmer than Caspers hybrid. I do not think it's warm, definitely is the mattress protector.

Did you guys go with the "Medium Plush" or "Luxury Firm" models? Hard to find any info on how plush and soft the medium is. I'm a side sleeper so I don't need anything too hard, but I hate really soft mattresses because they don't provide proper support. Both my wife and I are pretty light.

Trying to figure out between the Logan and Cove and the Casper Hybrid which is on sale now.

I just got myself a casper, upgraded from a hybrid Ikea mattress honestly can't say it's any better just yet. I may return within that 100 day policy unless something magical happens.

I got the luxury firm, it is a nice balance. Note that this is still a foam mattress and the springs just provide support. I am side sleeper as well so I am sure youll enjoy it. The medium plush is soft and you will feel hot as it tends to wrap around you.

Mine is the luxury firm as well. I prefer it over the Medium Plush as I'm a bigger guy and wanted a bit more support, but the missus is 120(?) lbs and she is fine with the amount of sink in the mattress as well. The first few inches in the Logan & Cove kind of provide you with the cradling and then the other foams and springs come into play to support.

Pretty curious about the Logan and cove mattress... reading more and more into it I want to return the Casper and give it a shot

I'm only 150 lbs, so glad to hear that the luxury firm isn't too hard for your wife. I like to have a bit of sink, but have the support that many soft mattresses don't provide. Of course, every person is different, so the only thing I can do is order it and give it a shot. Just hoping it doesn't feel like I'm sleeping on the ground!
