Mopar's Wrangler Pickup conversion kit - yay or nay?
 

From a resale value point of view, is it advisable to convert a 4dr JK wrangler to a 2dr pickup? or in general, is this conversion recommended? Anyone have any insights or work for chrysler that can hook me up with a kit?

We have certified people that can do this conversion in house. and I myself have studied the install procedures for the past couple of days, and it seems very straightforward. So cost is not a factor here.

But I just want people's opinions, yay or nay? car will be predominantly in the lower mainland/Richmond area. will this still need vehicle inspection afterwards?

So yeah, about the jeep.
It's a cool idea. As for resale, if you can keep the vehicle clean and well maintained it could probably fetch equal to or more than a stock one would. I like the conversion and would consider buying one if it came up for Sale.

No vehicle inspection needed. Unless you got pulled over and given a box 1.

But it is a cool custom concept on an otherwise poorly built, outdated and ugly vehicle. Just like the hummer h2t. It is absolutely useless, still ugly and horrendously built and designed. Still cool when I see one though

Added to the fact that like I alluded to, when someone says it, you have no idea why the reasoning for what they are saying. Compared to other hyperbolic statements "lose my shit" is on the very low end of descriptive, whereas generally when trying to make statements like that you are trying to make a very descriptive point. So basically it fails in all regards.

turns out they stopped making the kit a year ago. probably has to do with the upcoming 2017 jeep pick up. re-using the same mold, just guessing here.

sucks bummer cuz i have a candidate for this project.
