Drove by, shit ton of cop cars, someone lying on ground.

Yeah.

There were several cop cars, no signs of a car crash, and no ambulances. Thought it was a shooting.

Drove past it just after it happened.

Pedestrian hit by vehicle. Was a messy scene.

It was either a jay-walker or it was someone getting to their car.

Damage to the car was right side windshield. Major dent and cracked.

Drive carefully when it is dark and rainy out. Hard to see pedestrians.
Especially when pedestrians wear all dark clothes or when drivers don't turn on their headlights.

Best of luck to person hit, hope he/she recovers.

Vancouver with its weather pattern in the fall must be the highest pedestrian hit by car capital!

That and the lines on our street are horrible in the rain, surely someone would have invented a paint that can reflect light or stand out a bit better in the rainy season.

It's already been invented, we're just too cheap to use it.
