Vancouver road closures thread Anyone know of a source that shows road closures for every gay parade and event in a calendar style fashion? I was trying to get into DT TNT today to get some grocery shopping done and after 4 different attemps due to some fruity marathon I gave up and went to marine drive. First you have your weekday congestion then you think you can beat that by getting up early on a sunday just to get fucked by road closures really pisses me off. If they can take the permit money to shut down the roads the least they can do is put an app/calendar up of where roads are too be blocked? Having to check my google map just to go grocery shopping is getting to be abit ridiculous. |
Traditional newspaper Online newspapers Traffic/News radio station Y'know, the typical sources that will usually talk about upcoming events and current road closures... Also: Road closures and construction | City of Vancouver (seriously, a simple "upcoming road closures vancouver" keyword search in Google would have brought that up for you in the first provided link... ) |
I believe google maps knows when certain roads are closed or have extensive delays. For construction at least. |
Google is hard |
You are like the guy with the iPhone in his hand that walks into a store to ask for directions. |

Alright then enjoy checking for permission before heading out your door. |
Do you look out the window before getting dressed? |

Those who take Knight St have fun with this one which affects from 12th - 37th ave. Obviously as as a result of this other streets will take a hit i.e. Victoria, Nanaimo, heck even Oak St Bridge will have some increase perhaps. Knight Street Corridor Upgrades | City of Vancouver |
