A space saver on a truck is a questionable idea to begin with, but aren't these AWD? Are modern AWD systems able to handle different sized wheels without blowing up or is the spare pretty much just to roll it onto the tow truck like regular AWD vehicles?

It is awd but it's front biased. I would believe that driving on the spare would be fine as they put the space saver in there. A few years back my dad's Honda Pilot blew the front right and we used the spare for a few days with no issues.

I would agree tho with a truck a full-size spare is needed, but I think the majority of its buyers aren't going out and exploring the backwoods with this. It's really made for people who commute and needs some space outside rather than in like the Pilot.

I drove with a spare for half a year on a X drive system. Car didn't blow up :lol

As long as the overall diameter is the same it will be fine. The spacesaver is the same height as the regular wheel/tire combo, just skinnier.

Why, oh why, did you have to post this? Arggggghhhhh............. I've had my Ridgeline since it first came out in Canada. 900th one off the assembly line. Designed and built in NA. I still love it, but so tempted to get the new one.

I test drove one last month. I really liked it, but I can't justify paying all that money when I have one that's got most of what the new one has.

As for the spare tire. Mine came with a space saver, but can hold a normal one if you choose to buy one. Pretty sure the new one can, too.

The trunk on the new one is a bit deeper, but the drain....... my god it's awesome. I've filled it up with ice once or twice and it was great, but the novelty wore off pretty quick.

As for the stereo system. I've got a 2000+ watt stereo with dedicated aux battery in mine. :D

Not to mention CAI, cat back, and a few other mild mods.

I've got like 165000 km on mine........... anyone want to buy it? LOL.
