Data Sim Card for HK

I'm looking for data for around 4 days in HK, are there any good deals to be had where I can buy it here and have it working the immediately when I land in HK?

Or is it cheaper to buy whatever that's available in HK after I land?

Just walk into the nearest 7-11 after you land and buy the SIM. 7 day data SIM was $88 HKD.

1O1O after arrival, 5day pass CSL for HK$88 (1.5GB, unlimited minutes in HK) or 8day pass for HK$118 (5GB instead).

While on topic, anything for South Korea?

there are vending machines at the airport you can buy whatever data plan there.

go with the big brands, it's less hassle to activate the service and fill it up again.
3HK, PCCW, CSL, 1010, smartone, chinamobile.

donk. 10-30-2016 11:37 AM

I bought 3GB sim from 3HK around 300HKD.. worked pretty good..

Didnt really need to make calls, if I did, it was through whatapps to family/friends... mostly needed data, incase I got lost, I can check where I was to find my way home, etc

Gate 6 in the Arrivals area of ICN has a booth where you can rent SIMs.

Rented one this summer for about $50 CAD for a full month. Unlimited data with free hotspots (think Shaw Open).

If you are staying in a nicer hotel, they give you a smart phone to use while you are there.
The two hotels that I stayed in last year both supplied smart phones for us to use plus it included free local calling and calls back to Canada

no 7/11 please. They are expensive, go to Sham Shui po and buy a $50 HKD sim card 4G unlimited data for 10 days.

Forgot about This. We had this at the Holiday Inn at Tsim Sha Tsui too. Hotspot was enabled too. Outbound calls only, as the Caller ID was blocked.
