Working Visa - Australia

Anyone done the whole working holiday visa in Australia program? Or maybe knows someone that has used the sponsorship work program there. Really looking to see my options as I approach the age of no return...

I did the working holiday visa thing for Australia about 5 years ago. The whole process was done online and I was approved within a couple days. Super easy. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

The working holiday visa was approved for me in like 9 hours haha, recieved it and then got a China job offer like 2 days later

As long as you have no prior convictions, are of the age and have no diseases or illnesses, you should be approved in less than a few days. Its all done online, even the medical checks.

my wife and i applied at like 10pm one night and woke up the next morning and had it approved.

Sounds easy enough. How was it actually looking for employment though? I can't imagine too many places wanting to hire someone for under 6 months...

There's tons of temporary work in rural areas/small towns such as picking fruit and hospitality work that's geared towards WHV backpackers.

In the city, it's going to be the same as here in Canada - you're unlikely to get hired in Australia for something you wouldn't get hired for back home. With my experience (IT field) I was able to get contract work pretty easily in Sydney. YMMV.
