The garage is a mess, I've already tried to clean it up. I have no idea how my garage became a Honda museum...

Guess which car is the fastest? Probably the civic.

Can't be civic, cause not Kswap XD

Back to OEM wheels and couldn't be happier. Swapping to OEM exhaust in a few weeks as well. Stock with a bit of OEM JDM flare is the goal. Then Project Detail can work their magic in October :)

Any particular reason why? I think they are some of the best OEM seats ever made. I'll trade you my vaders if it's because you got fat.

Nice!

So what changed, because when you first drove one, you said you still couldn't justify the price?

I mean don't get me wrong, its a dope upgrade all around. Just wondering what changed, or maybe it was just personal situation?

Oshiguru 08-27-2017 07:00 PM

New to me 95 avus blue m3 with S52 swap. Picked it up from down south. Winter tires because summers didn't have enough tread to pass OOP

Great question. I think the biggest thing that changed was that when Ford released the msrp of the 2018 RS, it jumped up about 10k more, and I knew if I didn't get the car now I would lose out as this was already the very top of my price point.

For driving, the more seat time I put in the more superior to the ST it is. The driving dynamics are totally different though and that's what threw me off. The ST is a torque monster and hits peak boost well before 3k rpm. Around town on a roll it would be hard to mess with. The RS drives way more like an STI. Moderate turbo lag but once it kicks in it pulls right to redline. Since all I did was test drive the RS, obviously I didn't drive it like I stole it, so it was underwhelming. Definitely not the case now.

You can get way faster cars for the price, but the ST did right by me for almost 4 years, and as my first Ford I was very satisfied. Enough to overlook the golf R or a used STI that's for sure

Looking forward to seeing/hearing a more longterm review on the machine! Glad someone on here finally got one.
