Cracked subframe on my m3

Hey guys, I'm looking to get the floor panel of my subframe replaced. It has cracked and it needs replacement. I don't think this piece of metal can be repaired anymore. This is a common issue on these e46 m3.
Here's a thread of a guy that had similar damage with his subframe and the repair procedure.
so I bought another expensive OEM BMW replacement part - Page 4 - BMW M3 Forum.com (E30 M3 | E36 M3 | E46 M3 | E92 M3 | F80/X)

Essentially the rear end has to come off, spot welds will need to be drilled out and new floor welded back on.
Looking for quotes at this time. Thanks!

So. You're asking us for quotes?

Call up CG and ask them :p

Talk to the guys at the speed syndicate. I know they have fixed a ton of these.

Speed Syndicate did my reinforcement, great guys! didn't charge me for a lot of the bushing installs =)

and now that they have an alignment machine, no need for them to use that shitty shop they sent alignments to before.

If yours is actually that bad, contact No1 Collision, they do floor replacements, they run around $6k+ depending on other bushings and such.

I tried giving them a call but no answer. I'll try again tomorrow.
But yeah it's pretty bad actually. You can see the floor is like 1-2 inches lower than where it should be and obviously the crack leading to the spot weld.
This subframe had been reinforced previously so that's bs that it completely failed. Oh well.

Here's a couple pics I took while I had it jacked on one side

damn thats horrible. If you can't get a hold of them try contacting Brian Jessel about it and they can contact No.1. Brian Jessel parts dude was the one who told me about this during a random chat while I was waiting for parts.

Call up CG. Why bother going to the dealer when a passionate shop can do a better job

asma123 01-09-2017 07:41 PM

I highly doubt BJ would do anything. I got a supercharger on it and coilovers so that's a big no for them

Definitely CG or TSS. I know tons of people have had good subframe repairs and reinforcements done by both.

Comptech Performance knows about this problem and they race the cars as well
