link to review

TL;DR

-POWWWAAAAAA
-inexpensive for what it's worth
-13L/100km if you're careful
-awd works well in the snow
-comfortable
-discrete

What do you guys think? Would you buy a more grown up Focus RS?

It is a turbo 6cyl heavy AWD sedan after all I guess?

BBMme 01-14-2017 11:42 PM

I love how they call it a sport instead of going it a rs model. Keeps the rs line pure

That's what I got doing city. On the highway you are able to get better mileage.

In the city if I used the throttle heavier I was getting 17L/100km lol

Let's be real though. That's hideous, and in 5 years will seriously show its age (or maybe that's just me..)

^That already looks dated lol. My office's Mitel phones have better looking buttons than that :lawl:

vantrip 01-15-2017 02:56 PM

Jeez, ford should really work on the interior a lot more, it looks hideous

Wow, why is it so bad on fuel? Premium too I am guessing?

supafamous 01-15-2017 03:41 PM

Hmm...$44.5K plus taxes for it or ~$50K for a nicely equipped Audi A4 with an S-Line package that's just as fast.

I'm siding with Car and Driver that it's not that great a deal and less impressive than the specs.

??

A4s are slow as hell, what are you talking about?

The S3 is similarly priced too

It starts at 46,600K and it will go 0-60 in 4.7s (Road & Track), all while getting far better mileage, and has a much nicer interior.

!Aznboi128 01-15-2017 05:17 PM

s3 is tiny comparing to the fusion, it has space similar to the a6. I'm not sure how big the current gen a4 are, but previously they were quite cramped

as for milage it really depends on where you are, and how you're driving.
I was on regular gas, it doesn't require premium.

the epa is rated at 13.5L/100km

But I do agree with the interior comments the dash layout is not the best.

jjson 01-15-2017 05:25 PM

Maybe it's getting poor mileage due to the low temps and weather we've been getting lately?

Holy crap that mileage sucks. I get 19L/100km in my V8 f150 on 35" tires.. I really don't get why anyone would ever consider buying a fusion considering how much they cost. It makes for a good rental/fleet car though.

Temp could make a big difference.

I would like to see you drive from new west quay, to metro at 9am and get 19L with 35" tires

These figures are from what I achieved, and my commute will differ.

2017 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro Test ? Review ? Car and Driver

0-60 in 5.2 seconds for the 2017 Audi A4.

2017 Ford Fusion Sport First Drive ? Review ? Car and Driver

0-60 in 5.3 seconds for the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport

The new A4 is pretty fast for 2L making a claimed 252hp.

asma123 01-15-2017 06:28 PM

I don't like it

Lol no one should ever compare Fords based on MSRP. Probably $5k+ of discounts on this car when employee pricing rolls around. Not to forget x plan and costco discounts available year round.

Just going to leave this here.

Some of these comments...

:fulloffuck:

Who the hell would cross shop a Fusion with an S3? The latter is way too tiny. The Fusion is a family car, through and through. The whole point of the Sport is to have a performance version available for anyone who wants it. Sure a better performer than the Taurus SHO.

As for the interior? Yeah it's not very exciting considering it's an old design but even the RS Focus came out, they kept he old Focus interior. Not that I care about such things. These fancy over the top complicated vehicle systems are all planned obsolescence anyway. I'm not the target customer though.

Main thing I don't like is what I think is artificial exhaust noise pumped through the speakers? I might be wrong.

My brother bought one ($38k with employee pricing) and it's been good so far for him and his family. He hates SUVs and loves fast four doors so he spent a while looking for one and decided on this after reading up on it. More importantly, the wife loved it so....

!Aznboi128 01-15-2017 10:29 PM

Pricing is hard to say in the review as said above discounts and costco discounts makes this car a lot cheaper. 38k is a very good price for everything you're getting

tofu1413 01-15-2017 11:58 PM

size wise, this car should be equivalent to a A6, 535i or E class...

Performance should be up there as well.... of course at half the price of those cars.
