Another reason why Vancouver is such a fucked up city socially. Gold digging is a major in this city. I've wondered why it's so prevalent in this city, my assumption is the accumulation of wealth, along with the immigration culture.

A lot of you would be surprised how common this is in Vancouver, especially wealthy men who carry arrangements of financial servitude with these types of women.

Add it to the list of reasons why Vancouver has become shit in a lot of ways, so many of my friends who have came here from other parts of Canada/Internationally comment how brutal the dating scene is in this city, I'm glad I don't have to deal with that crap.

I doubt Vancouver's situation is really any different from any major city in the world. You look at London, LA, Dubai, etc you'll see tons of gold diggers and high end escorts

IMO the reason why it's so prevalent is that it's so lucrative and easy. Why bust your balls and work 40-50 hours a week with a boss when you can be your own boss and easily make 6 figures while constantly getting gifts, eating out at fancy places etc.

Can't blame the gold diggers for this type of behavior, blame the men who enable it.
