So stupid, sounds like some sumo wrestling announcer named them. Can't forget the Ferrari FUCK either, figure it out, and of all the languages Italian might be the prettiest/sexiest and they couldn't find one word in there that was better!?....

Car is pretty a FXXK tho, love the new/old quad tails, awesome they went back to them for the v12 model

pastarocket 02-17-2017 08:24 AM

forgive me if i'm not well-versed in a limited production vehicle of 36 units made 50 years ago

still doesn't change that a non-native English speaker created such cringeworthy name

i'm sure most of us will forget about the semantics once we hear its V12 motor :D

The Ferrari V12s GT cars are really continuing to be beautiful. You can see the classic style maintaining in the new designs.
I still prefer this one because I'm old, but kudos to ferrari for not turning everything into a spaceship.
I just googled this but looks like its up at cypress.:)

and forgive me if I have higher expectations from a "car" forum. That name is not "cringeworthy" to me at all, maybe because I link it to the older model.
I can see why people complain about "LaFerrari" though.
to be fair all ferrari models in 50s and 60s were limited edition and built in very low numbers. Enzo's focus was mostly on building proper racing cars to win LeMans and such, and not much on road legal cars.

yes, to me it's like a British company that plasters Japanese characters over its products (see Superdry). Or bad English grammar in Japan, ie 'NA is best', or a tattoo of a Chinese character that translates to 'water' on someone who probably doesn't speak the language :lawl:

and being on a 'car' forum is being open to difference in opinions.
do I think that the Mas Ghibili is a good name just because it was named in the 60's? Not really, because I did not grow up in that era so I associate with what I'm more familiar with.

both originating from Arabic translation of 'hot winds'

edit: looked up worst car names...I guess Nissan Homy Super Long is an accurate description as well, and not cringeworthy at all.
