I'm living in New Orleans right now and I would still say Church's > KFC > Popeyes. The biscuits from Popeyes are pretty good though, and their sweet tea, which is like pure sugar. |

Everything That company touches turns to shit. That microwaved cardboard they call food is not going to translate well to fried chicken. It should be illegal to serve that fucking crap they call a breakfast sandwich at Tim Hortons. |

had LA chicken today not as spicy as Church's but definitely a lot juicier/crispier will have to give that King Chicken happy hour a try since I prefer dark meat :ifyouknow: |
not gonna lie...I want to try some of this |
Don't mean to derail the thread a little.. but in light of chicken and waffles Screen Door if you're ever down in Portland OR: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...7c94697e2b.jpg A transcendent food experience for me. |

High speed train proposed between Portland and Vancouver - British Columbia - CBC News I know it would never happen, but I'd be all over that. Only if seniors rates apply, Gulolol. BTW, has anyone been to Seattle or Portland via Amtrak's Cascadia? |
churches with the gravy :sweetjesus: |

You guys do realise for a business where 6% profit margin is considered exceptional, one has to leverage economy of scale aggressively to please everyone from employees to investors. Chicken is probably one commodity US over produces (ever wonder why friend chicken is everywhere in places like Korea?)..make sense for QSR to go into that market. |
LA chicken or bust! |

I am not really a fried chicken fan any more. But I remember back in college, whenever I had that sudden rush of craving for fried chicken, I'd just go with friend to uncle willy's and KO myself with it. Unlimited fried chicken (you have to go about 30min after opening when they bring out the fresh batch, it's at least as good as KFC) dipped in curry sauce for 10 bucks. :sweetjesus: |

I'll get my coffee from Tim's these days, but they're not getting any other business from me. Maybe a muffin? It's hard to screw up a muffin. That said, if there is a McDonalds around I'll go there for a coffee. It's cheap, hot, and doesn't taste like burning. |
Timmies is also big around hospitals basically places where staff need a cheap caffeine fix. I know plenty of surgeons that prefer Tim's than others. (not to mention most Tim's are open 24 hours), quite an advantage when it is 4AM and you just wrapped in the OR. The advantage of Timmies have over other places like Starbucks is they have been around longer (continuously and not boom bust cycle), so they have got a lot more strategically located places in their porfolio. The area has cleaned up but has Richmond like traffic and retardation. I'd love Chik-fil-a to come here but I imagine there would be backlash because it's a *gasp* Christian company! However, it's harder to operate as a franchise compared to other fast food chains so it would take one dedicated mofo to open one up here. |
I had Church's chicken today. Ordered a 2pc combo, fries, and an orange crush. I was flirting with the gal behind the till, and she gave me an extra drum stick for free. #datgrease #sogood |
More often than not, when I asked for extra at the Churches on Hastings they give you an extra piece or 2 depending what you order. I've only tried this during late night after going out. |
