Went to Knife Wear with 3 of the 8 to browse and learn. Ended up making the executive decision. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/o...s41rebwje.jpeg Went for the two on the right. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/o...sgi6yudox.jpeg 2 knives, 2 grinding stones, large cutting board, cutting lessons, magnetic cherry wood holder. Oh and a honing rod. I'm sure most of it could be purchased much cheaper online. But if they ever have issues, or want information i'm sure they will be treated well at Knife Wear. Thanks Westopher and everyone else for the helpful suggestions. And no, I don't normally document my whole buying experience... But I had to give some info to the paying jury of 8. |
Brilliant choice. Wipe them down nicely with a warm soapy cloth and be careful. These things can cut fingers off haha |
Well done. Looks like everybody here already gave the best advice to buy less, and buy better. |
I know the thread is a little older. For all things knife related. A store in Vancouver is the best source, Warriors and Wonders. I collect real swords, not cheap wall hangings. They have the best selection of high quality stuff in Canada. |
