looks like it would've been a fun gig if it was around when I was in college

I think Amazon outsources their warehouse work to another company. So Amazon benefits aren't realized through that kind of work.

I think the outsourcing company is blue something. They had a bunch of ads on the skytrain a few years ago.

If you want to work for a big company with good pay and benefits, check out IKEA. Doesn't hurt that a lot of eye candy rolls through the store daily as well.

gf worked there...pretty similar story to the blog of that dude. she would be surrounded by ppl quite happy and social but same time you could pop your earphones in and be set. She wasnt pleased with the OT however, they explained it more like a "voluntary" OT, but in reality it was MANDATORY as you had to do 6 x 10hrs shift a week. Eventually she quit as she kept missing these "voluntary" OT shifts. I would say there are far worse jobs out there to work , but not really sure how part time works there

All I know is..Ive read many horror stories at working for amazon warehouse. And I have a buddy who works in the safety dept.. I wouldn't work for Amazon. Work at Ikea or something fun,

Think there's tons of stories on reddit on amazon warehouses
