Best way to reduce road noise?

Like the title says, what product works best? Dynamat? Something spray on? I know putting stuff like this in is a hassle so I want to do it right.

Which kind of road noise are we talking about ?

Cabin, Tire or?

Cabin, I'm thinking of lining the floor, trunk and firewall.

if you're exhaust has tons of drone noise inside the cabin,you could always lower it down with a test pipe!....speed syndicate does some kickass work.

I also want to know this. I know the guys over at Flyin Miata uses Spray-On Insulation - Automotive Insulation Coatings | LizardSkin in all their builds. Frankly I would assume that mats and padding would do the job, but spray? I'm a bit skeptical. Linked pictures from one of their builds;

Soundskins

Mass loading will reduce the resonant frequency which will generally result in lower audible noise as humans are less sensitive to lower frequencies, but it doesn't actually block, reflect, or absorb sound.

Vehicle Sound Deadening Materials for Noise Reduction, and Thermal Insulation. Call 800 679-8511. | Second Skin Audio, Made in the USA. - I used Second Skin Audio's Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro for my TSX and it definitely helps (my FIL drives an un-damped TSX). I did the doors with damplifier and the trunk got both damplifier and luxury liner pro.

Bit of a pain to do the first time and the doors are a lot of work but I'd say it was worth it.

In a diesel jeep, i'd almost experiment with mass loading. But I think it's kind of, go 100% or nothing.
