^True, however that show paved the way for all the others.

I mean, this is classic:

definitely these lol
though they might be related for me...maybe i'm drinking more so people generally look better

There is definitely more to do these days. With the population increase, there has been an increase in business and gov't catering to the masses. There are so many organized groups now for everything from running, to biking, to checkers.

But so many things are worse. Traffic congestion, high prices for everything, waiting lists, lines and lines and lines everywhere you go.

Did you know that a lift ticket for Whistler is $138 at the booth?
And you still have to wait 25 minutes to get up the lift. Then there's the S2S highway which was rebuilt, only to have huge backlogs at Brittania because that area has been subdivided and overbuilt too. Try to buy groceries on a saturday morning, or get out of the city on a friday before the long weekend and you see firsthand just how overpopulated the area has become. Construction traffic turns into resident traffic due to a lack of road infrastructure.

The new hotness is an 800 square foot apartment in Coquitlam, because anything in Vancouver with a lawn is going to cost $1.6m. Good luck raising your kids in a high density area with few opportunities for them to explore and play.

Hopefully you don't have to call an ambulance because these days they're working the Fentanyl train. Sometimes picking up the same person multiple times in one week. It's pathetic!

Rose colored glasses aside, the lower mainland isn't better than it used to be, regardless of how many douches in Lambos troll Robson on the daily.

The selection of tranny hookers is infinitely better than it was 10 years ago.

- Food.
People give a shit about what they put in their bodies much more, and how animals are treated.
- Racism/sexism/homophobia has become frowned upon.
At least by anyone thats not a fucking idiot. Its hard to believe reading some of the RS threads that its the case, but it is.

pastarocket 05-02-2017 07:55 AM

More ways to save money through online daily deals like Groupon and Living Social.

-don't have to go through those regular mail outs of envelopes for those coupons for food like Church's chicken. :lawl:

hirevtuner 05-02-2017 08:08 PM

-getting rid of the penny from our pocket change
-car & city bike rental alternatives (ie. car2go, modo)

A lot of stupid fucks don't bother properly researching anything though, so now people are cutting things out for no real reason and making up all these bullshit "allergies" their naturopath "doctor" tells them they have.

ae101 05-03-2017 04:39 AM

FnF movies have gone worst lol

Verdasco 05-03-2017 11:31 AM

revscene was bumping until 2010 or around there

legit like 20+ threads on relationships section popping left and right and people telling their stories about girls they met clubbing in their first day

:lawl:

now its all political news and housing etc. Guessing either we all grew up or the young guns left. Barely any new threads pop up anymore due to instagram and snapchat. Cellphones took over forums imo

and the buy and sell section had new stuff everyday, sold my christian audigier jacket for $400 here :fuckyea:

edit: was a lurker since like 2007

Armind 05-03-2017 11:35 AM

Back when I was in high school we all got our L as soon as we turned 16 and it was all about fart can exhausts, cut springs and 10" Alpine Subs. Nowadays I barely hear a rice rocket hitting VTEC. I read an article that the trend is kids dont even get driver licenses until they're past high school and if they get a car dont really modify it.

mentality of a young 18 year old has changed these things

the guys born in the 80's and early 90's cared about cars and shit because yes, we were materialistic, in a sense of cars

now its clothes, expensive $50 brunch meals to post on instagram/snapchat, cellphones

if you dont have this, you wont fit in. They just spend their money differently . I was happy to have a flip phone until college lol...

edit:

those times I see a row of civics and preludes parked outside of a big high school :lawl:

mmmmmic 05-03-2017 01:05 PM

Making $14 dolla per hour isn't balla anymore.

CivicBlues 05-03-2017 02:03 PM

Wigger/Chigger culture seems to have died out. At least in the city of Vancouver anyways.

I count that as a plus - this coming from a hiphop fan.

Hondaracer 05-03-2017 02:58 PM

I think the clothing thing is still applicable. Most people who dress like bums or dirty hipsters still look at least presentable and most of the time clean

Go to the states and people look dumpy as hell in a lot of places with torn sweat pants and their guts hanging out of 1995 raiders t-shirts

golden age of television?

mad tv isn't airing at 11pm on fox anymore

price is right with bob barker is gone at 11am when i am sick from elementary school

power rangers aint the same without the original pink ranger

fresh prince of bel air was on EVERY Couple hours on YTV

rather watch friends at 7pm ono FOX and the OC at 8pm on FOX than these shows today

I remember Maury use to do special shows like showing their crush, man or woman, people with fucked up OCDs, now its all white couples showing up with a black baby trying to see who is the father

you tell me if the golden age of television is gone

CivicBlues 05-04-2017 08:24 AM

^LOL can't tell if joking...

Seriously? Like I said, rose-coloured glasses my friend.

6o4__boi 05-04-2017 08:38 AM

lol trying too hard for nostalgia

madTV was great but not as good as the late night offerings now

price is right? shit's still on, and i really only watched it cus there was nothing better on tv at the time

really? power rangers? what are you like 10? shit was terrible and you grow out of it pretty fast

fresh prince of bel-air was syndicated so many times, i honestly don't care for it anymore

friends was good for its time...OC is a fucking chick show, neither could measure up to what's around today

the Maury one i agree with at least. It used to offer more diverse content now it's just DNA tests, skanks, sloots and more skanks.

tv is absolutely golden right now...though with the infusion of streamed content, i'm not even sure it's considered "TV" anymore

Better: Online buying. Amazon same day delivery even on a Sunday? Seriously?
I walk in malls much less now.

Worse: Robson St shopping.
