Coming of age in the early 90's when grunge and the whole Seattle scene blew up, Cornell was a huge part of a new movement in music. I was a little saddened when I heard about this when I woke up today.

RIP to a great artist who felt he had no other way out.

Just been confirmed by medical examiners that he hung himself.

Man that's depressing to see an icon go down like that.

Depression / chemical imbalances in the brain are a helluva thing... imagine where you have to be mentally to kill yourself just hours after doing something any of us would dream of doing. Messed up... RIP to another grunge 90's icon.

this one hits hard. I loved that whole Seattle grunge movement and honestly was one the most frequent things I listened to growing up. Nirvana, Silverchair, Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Our Lady Peace.. etc..

His death being rules a suicide.. thats even worst news... hanging? Bathroom? Towel/Band

there's a very well known Japanese guitarist by the name of hide that died in a very similar way...

Was just talking about that..

Kind of fucked, and could have most women he wanted, and offs himself at a young age still.

Maybe chemical imbalance with all those drugs, who knows.

This makes me sad, I loved his music. He easily had one of the most iconic voices of rock.

Was a strange morning. I was talking about composers of James Bond songs with my coworker, and I was telling him how my favorite one was by Chris Cornell. Then I turned around to my computer and the first thing I saw when I opened my browser is that he had died. My heart dropped.

Why god? Couldn't you have taken Chad Kroeger instead?

With respect to rock singers it's quite a shame to lose both Scott Weiland and Chris Cornell within such a short time frame. Many of the first songs I learned to play on guitar were from Soundgarden.

I got up, read that Roger Ailes died, and was feeling sorry for him. His life quickly got turned upside down and his body likely gave out under the stress. Then I scroll down and see Chris Cornell has also died and I'm like: "Damn you world, I feel sorry for a POS and you take Chris too?!"
