Road Rage Victimization - Civil Suit

I was a victim of a road rage incident today on my way to work. I had my windows punched out by a pedestrian who thought I didn't stop early enough for his liking. We exchanged words, punched my window, and fled the scene. I have minor cuts to my head and hand, but not severe enough to require stitching.

Police were called, got a file no., and will fix the car tomorrow. There were also witnesses who saw the incident and videotaped part of it.

My question right now is, say the police were able to identify the person, do you think I can go after the guy in small claims for my loss of pay, deductable, and minor injuries or is the amount so minor it wouldn't be worth any trouble for it?

TIA

Sure sounds like the questions for a lawyer, not a bunch of teens on a car forum

Adding to what 320icar has already said, if I were you, I'd get myself to a doctor ASAP for the sole purpose of documenting the injuries you have sustained, however minor they may be. Failing that, I'd shoot some detailed video of the injuries to evidence in case you want to use it in court.

Injuries heals over time (obviously), and you want to make sure you capture the extent of the injuries that was caused by the incident in case you want to use it.
