G35 write off?

Got t-boned the other day and just trying to figure out if the icbc gods are in my favour or not. Took it to a shop and was told there's a possibility she'll be saved due to low mileage and how clean it is. The two air bags are the cheapest part of fixing it damage total came out to like 7K and black book value is at 11k. Car has 101K and is a 2006 no priors. https://i.imgur.com/GUFyBuc.jpg

rather write it off then have that high accident damage on the car report. be harder to sell later.

Until they take the panels off and assess the damage all you're going to get is a guess. If the payout minus the estimated salvage value is less than the cost to fix it then it will be written off.

Looks pretty fucked to me though I doubt it would get repaired. 7k seems low to replace the airbags, repair and replace panels and paint half the car, assuming no structural or suspension damage. I'd look up the value of comparable cars locally, you can negotiate the payout

7k to fix? that's pretty cheap

and what year G? depends on market value, ICBC might fix it

Most G's in my area are going for atleast 11K plus and most of those have much higher mileage then my car. Currently has 101K and most g's on the market locally have atleast 120K and are selling for 11-13K. I didnt notice anything weird with the suspension while driving it back home. hoping for the best.
its also an 06

Unless they are also giving you money for the loss of potential profit for when you decide to sell it, it would make the most sense to get another one. As the owner of an 06 G35 with low km (46k) i totally understand wanting to keep your baby.

Agreed. Buyer will lowball you if they see an accident of that amount.

I'm not sure if this is always the case but when I had an accident, the bodyshop assessed the damage $1k lower than the final cost of repair. So if your assessment is $7k, it could be more once repaired.

write off son.

icbc can see that the car is worth more in parts.

I'd take the money and start from scratch.

thats a write off for sure

usually when airbag deployes in older car, it is write off.

airbag cost + interior panels are $$$$$$$

you are probably looking at $3-4000 for seat only. (if side airbag is deployed as well)
