Then it will on the news again saying people are bullying the kid due to gender issue. Just image the poor kid going to washroom in school or going to change after gym class. Which gender washroom he/she chose there are going to tons of bullying and name callings. Then there is the camping trips. Do teachers assign the kid to sleep on the girls or the boys side......

Who at school will know what's on his health card? Plus, it can be changed. Perhaps this was just a temporary thing so the parents could get their point across. Sad that they are using their child to push their agenda, though. I hope they're the ones who get ridiculed to no end for using their new-born as a political message.

68style 07-04-2017 09:52 AM

I don't think there are parentS in this case... just a lady with a beard who says she herself has no identity raising her child on who knows what income somewhere between Kelowna and Calgary that no one cares about.

Wish he/she would keep it in their pants, figuratively speaking.

inv4zn 07-04-2017 11:42 AM

^You're right, I re-read the article and it's intentionally ambiguous when addressing "the parent".

Lady with a beard is right.

freakshow 07-04-2017 12:49 PM

You guys are so negative.. I'm excited because soon I'll be able to change my official birthdate. I identify as someone who was born on every day of the year.

FREE PAJOS I'M COMING FOR YOU

Hondaracer 07-04-2017 02:09 PM

Just get bullied to death already.

The comment that to each their own and let people do what they want etc is an ignorant one imo because going forward whichever class this child is in, whichever school they go to, it's going to be an ongoing issue that will have to be explained constantly to the other children, parents, etc.

If I was a parent I wouldn't want my child within a thousand feet of this family.

68style 07-04-2017 04:16 PM

^ Thankfully (?) it will probably home-school it junior

Ludepower 07-04-2017 07:23 PM

How did this shit "U" bullshit get passed? Can we stop bending to every minority group whining.

Doesn't matter, which ever side they go to will be the wrong side. Even if the kid chooses, the parent will no doubt get accusatory about he/she being pressured into it. It will be another soap box speech for the parent every time a decision like that needs to be made.

This kid is going to be a political minefield for anybody that comes near it

If I was a teacher at the school this kid ends up at, I would be requesting a transfer ASAP, lol.

I mean, good god, could you imagine parent teacher day when an angry bearded woman comes in spitting fire at you for the most trivial shit you've ever heard of... as much as I would try to keep it together, I am just not a good enough of a person to not crack up and get myself fired.

The kid in question is in fact the offspring of that creature Kori Doty. Didn't realize shaving off your pubes and gluing it to your face makes you a man all of a sudden.

Pick your article of choice here:

https://www.google.ca/#q=kori+doty&tbm=nws

This shit went global as it's a first apparently. From what I read on one article, Kori is 31. Why doesn't she identify as 66? That way she can undeniably claim she has decades of experience studying complex psychological issues.

holy shit.. https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...nder-off-cards

"The court case is expected to be heard in late autumn, said barbara findlay, a human rights lawyer who chooses to spell her name without capital letters and is working with Doty on the court challenge."

this literally sounds like a south park episode. is this real life?

MrPhreak 07-08-2017 11:33 PM

^^ Oh yeah, should have known barbara findlay had something to do with this idiotic idea of making all babies transgender... I read up on her the last time she made the news, she is as loopy as a bicycle wheel with busted spokes.

I would put her into the same category of fucking as that crazy anti fish farming environmental activist Dr. Alexandra Morton... who isn't really a doctor btw, it was some honorary bull shit from SFU. However she likes to pretend to be one when pushing fake studies. It is crazy how one person can create so much misinformation on a mass scale.

I kind of feel that if the courts actually grant findlay's wet dream that no baby shall be legally labeled as male or female, people are going to freak.

Tim: "Hey Bob, congrats on the new baby! Is it a boy or a girl"
Bob: "Ummm yeah, it has male genitalia, but yeah, the government told me I can't actually say it is a boy because barbara findlay will get offended"
Tim: "So, the government is telling you that you can't call your kid a boy"
Bob: "Uhh yeah, and we have to buy unisex cloths for him.... it... whatever... or social services will come and take him... um... it... away"
Tim: "Fuck those assholes!"
Bob: "Yeah, fuck those assholes!"
ENTIRE REST OF CANADA: "YEAH, fuck this shit"

Realistically, the most this barbara findlay and Kori Doty can achieve are:

1) the additional option to not assign a gender to a newborn if the parents so choose
2) the elimination or optionally listed gender (including unassigned) on the birth certificate

As stupid as I think this unassigned gender at birth is, I thought about the issue some more, and try to compare it to same sex marriage before it (same sex marriage) became generally acceptable in (western) society. While I see some similarities between the two, I still cannot agree how leaving the gender unassigned at birth is not a disservice to the child.

Jmac 07-09-2017 01:40 AM

There's a massive difference between same sex marriage and whatever the fuck this has become.

Bouncing Bettys 07-09-2017 02:37 AM

I'm all for whatever marriage combination under the sun exists as long as it is between consenting adults.

This thing needs to move to Gimli, Manitoba where the women have facial hair and still idwntify as women. Addressing gender with life altering procedures before adulthood is child abuse.

MG1 07-09-2017 03:23 AM

How many parents have forced their beliefs on their children?

I'm talking about religion.

jesus christ, I hate shit like that............... if your parents are catholic, you're basically born one. No big deal. Doesn't mean you'll stay one once you grow up and come to realize it's not right for you.

How about circumcision? That's gotta hurt.............

Yeah, this is just one small victory... barbara findlay's end goal is to have gender stripped off of identification cards all together:

Transgender rights case fights to axe gender from birth certificates | Metro Vancouver

Quote:

“This is a classic example of an apparently neutral rule which has a disproportionate and negative impact on a small group of people,” barbara findlay (whose legal name is uncapitalized) told Metro in a phone interview. “That’s practically the definition of discrimination.

“Having a birth certificate with gender on it creates life-long discrimination, in fact not only for trans or intersex people, but for anyone who doesn’t quite ‘look’ like what others think you should look like.”

She said that the government has no place certifying British Columbians gender or sex at birth — because gender identity isn’t developed until, at earliest, 3 years old, she argued, and because not every baby’s genitals match their assigned sex.

The case, which findlay is arguing at the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal, was launched by eight complainants against the province’s Vital Statistics Agency and seeks to remove the M/F field on birth certificates.
People like this are professional shit disturbers. They should back the fuck off on screwing with kids.

The_AK 07-09-2017 12:41 PM

*edit*
don't want content posted associated with this kids name in the future, this thread should be deleted tbh

J____ 07-09-2017 08:39 PM

Honestly, I'm ok with LGB because it's a sexual preference. Not so much with transgender, there's no scientific reasoning that you're born into a body you don't want to be in. Every cell in your body is hardcoded by DNA to be either male or female. It's like saying you think you should be born as a fish instead of human so you cut off your arms and legs, rip out your lungs and cut gills in your neck so you can be a fish. No matter what you do physically, you're still a human being, it won't change your DNA. I think this is a form of dementia and mental illness. That being said, if someone chooses to think like this then fine, that's their right, but imposing this idea on children is irresponsible and abuse. You don't starve the kid food until he's old enough to decide what he likes to eat, or have him run around naked until he decides what style of clothes he wants to wear. So why assign no gender until he wants to decide what he wants to be? I sincerely hope child services does something about this and finds the kid a better home than the one provided by this psychotic mother/father person.

inv4zn 07-09-2017 10:27 PM

^Funny you say that, there's a picture on the mom/dad's facebook (which is strangely all public), of the little kid eating handfuls of dirt lol

I guess since dirt is natural, it's better than formula. /s.

stewie 07-10-2017 09:28 AM

Question I've had in my head since reading all this.

If she/he/it want's to have no gender on the birth certificate and let the child make the decision itself when it's able to, how does she/he/it plan on raising the child?

Short hair like a boy?
Long hair like a girl?
Shaved head to be neutral?

If genitals don't matter then what about physical appearance until the day of the childs decision? No blue or pink? No G.I Joes or Barbies? Only useless toys no kid want's and board games?

I've so many questions about this lady...
