^ unfortunately a flat head screw driver is enough to steal an ae86. the original key cylinders probably so work that it takes a popsicle stick to get it started. glad it was found! |
Nice tilt shift photo. At first, I thought you posted a picture of a toy model, lol. Glad it was found! Hope no extensive damages and things haven't been parted out! |
didn't even know they made CF doors for something as old as the AE86 glad you were able to recover it |
Great to see you got your car back. it's probable a good time to add some security. Something like a fuel cut off switch would be a good cheap start. |
What would be easier/better to install? A Fuel Cutoff or a hidden switch that disconnects power from the battery? I have a older vintage car i'm going to be getting, and since I live in a condo, I dont want someone stealing it.. Then again its a British car so they going to have a hard time getting it to run in the first place.. LOL |
I have a 1968 Mustang and the hood doesn't even actually lock on those cars, you can start it in like 5 seconds with any knowledge... sounds extreme, but if I leave it somewhere I actually pull the spark plug type wire from the ignition coil to the distributor... easy enough to do and who (ie: what thief?) carries an extra ignition coil wire around with them? Lol |
