My mom turned down the standard RAV4 Hybrid and RX Hybrids - apparently the engine was "too loud for a new car" and so we're waiting for for a plugin NX/RAV. |

The TX replaces the RXL which was their 7 seat version of the RX, which means TX will be an uprated Grand Highlander. NX is their mid size offering that started awhile ago which is similar to the Rav4/Venza. |

Even the LX has gone v6 twin turbo instead of the usual v8. :heckno: that TX is basically the Grand Highlander and both of those are North American models only (also built in USA only) so not a global car. |
I think LS and LC will be the only ones I buy assuming they were still made in Japan? Does the GS still exist? Is is too small and I don't want fwd |
GS is gone. It was a weird product since the ES (upscaled Avalon) did the whole luxury comfort sedan thing much better than the GS. |
The GS was discontinued a while ago and it was RWD or AWD, not FWD. The only FWD sedan in the Lexus lineup is the ES and they are made in Canada I think. |
Toyota Tahara Plant (Tahara, Japan): Lexus LS, IS, GX, LX, & RC Toyota Yoshiwara Plant (Toyota, Aichi, Japan): Lexus LX Toyota Motor Kyushu (Miyawaka, Fukuoka, Japan): Lexus UX Toyota Miyata Plant (Miyawaka, Fukuoka, Japan): Lexus IS & ES Toyota Motomachi Plant (Toyota, Aichi, Japan): Lexus LC Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Inc. (Cambridge, Ontario, Canada): Lexus NX, NX Hybrid, RX, & RX Hybrid Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, Inc. (Georgetown, Kentucky, United States): Lexus ES Don’t buy an ES NX TX or RX. Those are all made in North America. The rest are still built in Japan. With the LC being built in motomachi. Aka flagship plant, same plant where the GR ratrolla comes from and the Toyota crown / century and previously the LFA. https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=Q940i...ature=youtu.be Motomachi is some hardcore shit. Staffed by takumi’s that come from the lesser Japanese factory. I’m gonna go tour that factory next year and see them produce LCs in person. Also gonna see if they have some cool Toyota swag to pickup. |
What about the NX Prime? My RAV4 Prime is made in Nippon and has a J vin |
I don’t think the NX phev is out yet. All other NXs for North America are made locally. Not Japanese unfortunately |

definitely keeping my eye on the gx overtrail... especially when they release the hybrid. price leak https://www.lexusgxforum.com/threads...ions-list.113/ |
The NX PHEV is 90k+ out the door. At the price point it's hard to justify. But my brother and a friend both bought them..... |
Must be nice to still afford new cars in this marketFeelsBadMan |
at the rates they currently want, i dont know how anyone could. Like when i was doing my ratrolla purchase, they wanted 4.9% and i was like laughing cuz 0 down, the montlhy would have been $2500 bucks. Now its at 8.9% and that monthly is like almost $2900 a month with 0 down and throughout a 48 month lease, you'll be paying like 40k worth of interest alone. |
I was doing like a Integra Type S payment for shits and giggles, and it was like $73000 after tax and the payments were like $1300 a month at like 7% for a fucking civic:fulloffuck: before gas + insurance |

Yup, MSRP's have gone up for all manufacturers. I purchased my 2021 X5, fully loaded for around $87k and at that time BMW was offering 1.9% + loyalty reductions. Now the same X5 has a MSRP of close to $90k before options. And high rates will likely stick around for high demand cars. |

I miss the days of paying 0.24% on our X3. I can't even lease a M340 now with the payments I had on my M3. |

I always assumed the base NX450+ was spec'd just to get the incentive - don't think there was motivation to offer it when there's issues with supply chain and a big wait list. Think there was a base F80 M3 6MT in Yas Marina Blue - not sure if it's still in the lower mainland nowadays. |
