VW interior button question?

Anyone own a Touareg , tiguan, or Atlas on here?
I cant figure out how to shut the automatic trunk lid on our Atlas SUV from inside when i am sitting on the drivers seat.

The button for trunk only goes make it go up, I cant locate another button to close it. I can only use the remote control in my pants to make it go down. It just doesnt seem practical if that is the way they design it.

Our Jeep trunk button can do up or down (alternates function with each push).

Thank you for answering my noob question. First time owner of VW ...lol

I can tell you but it'll cost a Honda Odyssey. :troll:

Try holding the button down. My Genesis has one interior button, holding it down will close it but I have to hold it until it's completely closed

Holding didn't do anything, this button seems to only do one touch going up. pushing it stops the going up, push again = goes up again.

Talk to your salesmen about the options on the Toureg . I have $600 cash for the Odessy.

I just tried one on my lot.

In order to close the liftgate, the electricity needs to be running in the vehicle or the engine needs to be on.

Doors can be left open, doesn't matter

wait...so let me get this straight.
1) I get to my car, open the lift gate and load my inflatable sheeps.
2) Leave my car with the liftgate open to return my cart
3) Come back to missing sheep.
4) Get in the car, turn to acc and close the lift gate.
5) Go back inside to buy more inflatable sheep
6) Load 2nd load of sheep in the trunk
7) Go inside the car, turn to acc to close the liftgate
8) Come out to see that the cart moved and has now impacted my brand new Touareg
9) Return Cart
10) Drive to nearest Honda dealership

lol i misread. I thought he was at the tailgate and it wouldn't shut with the button close.

You can close gate with button on the tailgate. But i haven't figure out how to close it from the inside of the driver seat.
It is practical and good for quick driveby delivery open and closing, while staying inside the driver seat. It is normal for every other SUV but i dont know how to do it with the VW

I don't think the suburban I had could do this either.

I used to just use the button on the fob when I was sitting in the drivers seat to close the tailgate
