Question about unlocking
 
So I heard CRTC is making carriers unlocking all phones in December.

What do I do in this situation:
1) my new Samsung phone is bought new from telus.
2) I put my Fido sim into this phone and it in turn gets locked to Fido , since Samsung locks and sets up to the first sim that goes into it. For my case, it's Fido.
3) come December, do I call telus or Fido to get unlock codes.

It's a weird question, but if you know what is the logical answer, please help me.

The carrier you bought it from, Telus. It'll be in their inventory, not Fido's.

Even though it is not locked to Fido ?
