Opinion needed on PC specifications need it for home/gaming usage. my concern is the processor.... as in it being a server-based XEON...but isn't it the same as an i5? - Intel E3-1220 V2 quad core 3.1GHz (3.44GHz Turbo) processor - 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM - 1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive - DVD-RW and DVD-ROM - Zotac GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Gaming graphics (HDMI, DVI, Display Port) |
Probably similar in performance to an i5-2500 since it's a SB Xeon. How much are you paying for it? |

Seems ok, although I never buy full towers used, especially older ones. |
the xeon is not a great gaming CPU |
save up for something you're gonna be happy with...and think ahead if you're gonna be using it long term gaming....my consoles are collecting dust unless its a system exclusive |
i'm told pubG uses more than 8GB of dram...i would buy something with 16gb for some breathing room if you play open-world games |
TBH... this will be a WoW box with maybe some RTS like sudden strike 4. nothing too cutting edge. I figured it was a good deal...with it including a 24" IPS LCD monitor. I will eventually build a PC but need something for a few months to level up my WoW toons to 110 over christmas. My toshiba gaming laptop, QOSMIO, is not gonna cut it. Also, that particular board allows the CPU to be swapped to an i5... |
16gb ram is like the basic now for every game |
