Anyone invested in a Mortgage Investment Corporation(MIC) before?

I'm looking for the pros and cons of investing in a MIC.
Anyone have any good or bad experiences with one?

Several people I know are with

Providus Mortgage Investment Corporation | Canadian MIC

their returns have been pretty consistent.

Quote:

WHAT’S YOUR TRACK RECORD AND LONGEVITY?
Providus MIC was launched in April of 2013. In our first year of operations we provided investors with an average return of 7.66% (annualized). This increased to 9.11% in 2014, and 10.02% in 2015.

Providus might be new, but the management team has been involved in lending markets for many years and annual returns to investors, net of fees, have always exceeded 7%. While we cannot guarantee future performance, we are confident in our ability to continue to achieve similar annual returns in the 7 – 11% range.

If your planning to invest in a MIC always read the Offer of Memorandum. It will tell you everything you will need to know and make sure that that are registered with BC Securities

If you have any other questions just pm me.
