the person in the house could got all his shit taken away as "proceeds of crime"..perhaps?... could've also being scamming with credit card fraud and all the shit he/she ordered stacked up is being loaded as evidence or even computer hacking.... |
Just a PSA all municipal police officers including transit police officers have jurisdiction across the province (if needed) and all RCMP officers have jurisdiction across the nation (if needed) So no you're not clever if you drive to another city when the cop behind you is trying to pull you over. You're just a dumbass. |
It's not uncommon for police agencies to work together and share resources (i.e, Integrated Gang Task Force) or hand cases over to another police agency, especially if the other agency - such as the VPD in this case - already has an ongoing investigation. It could be anything really. In this day and age, your neighbour could be a gang/drug kingpin and you'd never know. |

FYI - this was the case related to this thread. Vancouver police unveil massive seizure of guns, drugs and bombs | The Province Police have made a significant seizure of guns, drugs, explosive devices and stolen property from suspects allegedly involved in the Lower Mainland gang conflict. Vancouver police and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit hosted a news conference Wednesday morning where they unveiled the seizure of weapons and stolen property. Other items that were found included marijuana plants and bulletproof vests. No charges have been laid and no suspect names have been released. VPD Supt. Mike Porteous confirmed a Langley property where a search warrant was executed last month and where some of the seized items were found had been used as a staging area for violent crimes. “This is a significant seizure,” said Porteous, who noted the seizure likely stopped shootings and murders from being committed. At least two warring groups involved in the drug trade have been targeting each other in public shootings across the Lower Mainland over the past two years. Police have expressed frustration about the lack of co-operation they have received from some of those shot. |
