What tool would you buy a plumber? Hey RS. I have this a**hole friend who always helps me with my plumbing needs, but never takes money from me. He say's stupid stuff like, "it's not a big deal" and "it didn't even take that long". What a jerk, I know. Anyway, I was just wondering if there are any plumbers here and what tools do you use most? Now, I realize that since he's a plumber and he likely has all the tools that he needs, but what about upgrades? He helped me out and I saw that he had a really really old set of rusted channel lock pliers. I was thinking I should get him some brand new channel lock pliers. Is that a good idea? I'm also opened to other ideas. Thanks |

most tradies like tools. but they also like specific tools. does he drink? a $100 bottle of whiskey goes a long way as a thank you. |
service or new construction plumber |
Booze, cigarettes or Tim Horton's gift card. A lot of tradesmans are very particular about their tools. I've received tools as gifts but I've either given them away or it's sitting in the garage somewhere unused. |

Maybe a shitter camera you know the ones you can stick down a toilet to see whats plugging it up. You can get ones that hook up to a cell phone. Tims or a gas gift card would also be a good choice. |
