Mission Raceway Drag Racing Questions

General Rules | Mission Raceway

Might go this spring/summer with the gf in the SS and GT. What do we need to know? Should we buy a helmet or can we rent there?

And should I check decibel levels beforehand? I've heard some cars can't go there if their car is too loud.

What is admission for drag racing? Don't really understand the admissions page.

Their phone number in their contact page doesn't work...

Buy your own helmet. I don't recall them having loaners and if they did, do you really want to wear something someone else has worn.

Yes, you can be asked to stop if your car is too loud. Not sure, but what makes you think your car is too loud?

Admission is pretty straight forward.

$85 for friday night test and tune or $40 for Mopac Friday night drags.

Roush AB and resonator delete.

Recommendations on where to buy a helmet?

I can't remember their sound limit or how they measure it. Can't help you there.

I am pretty sure you can use a M rated helmet so any motorcycle shop will do.

Ok thanks. Sent them an email since their phone still not working

So the sound limit is 90 db. It doesn't say how/where the sound is measured from.
As long as you still have mufflers, you should be fine. Worst case, you get a couple runs in and then told you can't run for being too loud.

They also have a FB page so try there.

You won’t have issues with noise and make sure your helmet is Snell Approved

If your car is 14 seconds or slower I think you don't need a helmet

Conversely, anything faster than 11.49 requires a roll bar (or cage) and approved belts, among other things. Lots of good info on their page.

Thanks all. I think I'm 12.8 according to google. Wish I had a car fast enough to need a roll cage.

I'll see you there April 6th ;)
