Item thrown at vehicle

What are your options if someone rages and throws an item at your car? No video of them throwing it but you have their plate.

Depends if there's damage, if my family's in the car with me, if there are witnesses around, if I'm in a bad mood or not, etc...

follow them home.
deflate tires at 4am.

repeat once a week until satisfied.

You can make a police report through non-emergency after the fact (unless there is some reason to call 911, right away). If there is damage, contact ICBC to report it and start a claim. With no independant witnesses and/or no video to prove what happened, don’t expect criminal charges to be approved by Crown.

What you can do is follow them home, find out where they live. The next part is very, very tough. It involves smearing a light light layer of fecal matter (doesn't matter from where) on every handle surface you can find.

Their front door, backyard gate, car door handle(s), mailbox, etc. Then vigorously rub a dead fish over the bottom of the windshield cowl so you leave all that juicy stank right where the fresh air intake is for the ventilation system. This will take dedication as you will need to repeat this process every day for at least 8 weeks.

Slowly observe your target as their health and sanity deteriorates.
