does the FRS/BRZ just attract dumb drivers?
early 20s, Friday night, decides to rip it with another Audi and potentially 3rd car...of course the idiot is fine but his buddy dies
wonder how the frame looks from passenger side...driver side seems straight as an arrow I'm surprised it resulted in a death

Frame?

twitchyzero 04-21-2018 10:24 PM

the vehicle looks salvageable from this angle
unless the passenger was ejected or an object struck through the window, i'm shocked he died

Actually, I think it's a BRZ/FR-S/86 stereotype now...

Anyway, wonder how the whole thing happened. Is it because the rear tire popped? If so, is it from some cheap tires being raced to above the speed rating?

Buddy probably did too many burnouts, rear tread was fucked

UnknownJinX 04-21-2018 11:56 PM

How do you even do burnouts in an FR-S? They have no torque LOL.

And before you say anything, yes, I am aware that my car has no torque, either, and no, I am not planning on doing burnouts.

there was enough energy transfer to tear the front rebar right off the frame rail, from the looks of the photo it looks like the car probably slammed sideways into the barricade. a sudden stop like that, coupled with airbags and the energy from whatever motion the car was in prior is enough to kill anybody

The passenger side door looks to be straight as well, maybe no seatbelt?

They always tried to pass me when i was driving a civic, now I don't see any fr-s/brz/gt86 trying to ricer flyby my 330ci :okay:

Always wanted to do a slow flyby denial LOL:denied:

"Why dont car manufacturers build small fun to drive rear wheel drive manual tranny cars anymore? They're so fun to drive!"

fast forward

"Why do people drive BRZ/FRS's like idiots?"

funny how I haven't seen many miatas that's totaled or attempting to put around town in the snow with stock tires

give it some time, the younger crowd will move onto another affordable sports compact to ruin

I remember in high school it was the celica and rsx that had this reputation, now I barely see decent examples around...most still have period-correct mods LUL
