Garage Sales

It’s garage sale season. On the way back from the Burnaby Farmers Market, I came across this Korean Garage Sale at some Korean Church. The food was pretty good. Oh, if you’re at the Burnaby Farmers Market try the crepes there. Kara’s Crepes. For $8.00, it’s a bargain.

Any other garage sales this weekend or in the future, post them up here.

What ever happened to the one at Mission Raceway? I remember going there to sell performance parts and whatnot. Revscene Garage Sale anyone?

Edit: How do you say, “god bless,” in Korean?

i hit up garage sales from time to time looking for old video games and whatnot, personally i'd never buy appliances, tools, etc. used, its never worth it.

On the subject of Garage sales, I'd rather die than have my own ever again. We had a small one when we were planning on potentially selling our house. The shit fucking people offer and talk about is so fucking gross i wanted to punch people in the head.

I had a box of items, i labelled all items for $1 each, some were probably worth $1-$2 but most were probably 3-10

i had a guy pick up a few of the items and offer me .50 cents.. i said no.. they are clearly labeled for $1 each, he then goes

"Hah.. i know what things are worth!"

i told him to leave then if that was the case

uhg... painful to even think about that day lol

Garage sales are not a place where you try to make money. They are a place where you hand off your junk to a unsuspecting buyer for what they believe is a “deal” all so you don’t have to pay a massive bill next time you hit the landfill.

Video games. There are bargains to be had. Mom who didn’t know what she had, cause son left his shit behind when he moved out.

Sounds like the people who garage sale for a living to find stuff for their swap meet table every week. I’ve told them to pound sand myself when they lowball like crazy but overall don’t mind having garage sales, myself.

Bought a PS1, with GT1 and 2, plus two controllers and the memory cards for $20.

I remember joining up with a neighbour of ours a few years ago. I had a huge collection of import tuner mags and some old guy took them all. I probably had at least 20 of them. I sold them all for like $5 or something.

Garage sales are one of those things you have to go early, because at the end of the day, there's nothing good left.
