I don't find 2 burners limiting. The high BTU for two burners, along with the smaller cooking area means that it is more than enough.

If you have the room on your balcony, you can spend the extra $100 and get the 310. Exactly the same as the 210, but with a larger grilling area and three burners.

Nice. I am keeping an eye out for sales on Webers but that seems to be very rare, like sales on Apple devices.

Just a side question, but why do people call it the drive. Is it a hip place nowadays? I don’t head out that way ever

'Cause Commercial Drive. How many streets are called "Drive?"

Plus it's not that long........ of a drive, as it turns into Victoria Drive later on. Oh yeah, then Argle, LOL.

There's nothing like roasted corn on the cob on the barbie.......... smothered with Carolina Gold BBQ sauce from Trader Joe's - a match made in heaven.

I purchased this thing from Lee Valley a while ago. Tried it the other day. Damn. How did I get by without it? I mean this thing just slathers on the sauce - thick and even.

Long-Handled Sauce Mop - Lee Valley Tools

Yeah.............. the store that sells overpriced junk for yuppies. Gulolol.

I ordered an outdoor propane BBQ/wok thing. I've been meaning to put it together, but no time. I'm pretty sick and tired of oil all over the stove and even though I have a gas cooktop, it doesn't get as hot as it should.

https://www.amazon.ca/Eastman-Outdoo.../dp/B0002OOMRG

Beauty of it is it's portable. Flip the grate and it becomes a boiler.

I also purchased one of them BBQ mats to put the thing on, so as not to ruin the deck. Got it at Costco. Similar to this...........

My personal go-to item for a barbecue is slow cooker ribs.

I throw them in the slow cooker for 8 hours on low until they come apart with light fork effort, then throw them onto the grill go a few minutes to let the BBQ sauce caramelize.

MG1 07-25-2018 02:51 PM

Gotta have one of these to take the guesswork out of your cooking..........

https://www.amazon.ca/Lavatools-Jave.../dp/B00NMQGAT4

I love the magnet feature. I just stick it onto the exterior door. Easy to clean and basically instant.

pintoBC_3sgte 07-25-2018 03:09 PM

For my real southern bbq’s / long cooks I love my maverick
DIGITAL REMOTE BBQ THERMOMETERS ? Maverick Housewares
Stick it and go back to sleep lol. I like that I can watch my chamber/ food temp all on one device from inside.
Grilling I don’t bother.

MG1 07-25-2018 04:02 PM

Now I have to get me one of those.......... thanks.

pintoBC_3sgte 07-25-2018 06:18 PM

Haha nice! You’re welcome

Hey guys, looking at an older Genesis 3-burner.

Is the bubbling on the logo/side of the lid anything to be worried about?

I used to do the same until i bought an instant pot.

40 mins and its fork tender. Slab on some BBQ sauce and put into oven to broil for 5 mins.... perfection.

I would think it's fine as it's just the outside, you may want to throw a new coat of paint or something to beautify it.
as long as the tube burners are good you should be fine.

I picked up a cheap bbq from Lowe's the other day.
https://www.lowes.ca/gas-bbq-grills/..._g2944143.html

Was on sale for $299 thought might as well, pretty easy to put together so far so good!

pintoBC_3sgte 07-27-2018 11:49 AM

The bubbling might have been from something catching fire, and it got super hot. Should be ok to use though

roastpuff 07-27-2018 12:57 PM

What do you guys think? Needs flavourizer, grates and warming rack replacement it looks like to me.

Need to see it in person.

bcrdukes 07-27-2018 02:10 PM

You should just buy a brand new BBQ. :lol

Oh you know, drop $1000 on a brand new BBQ, or 1/4 the price on a used one and refurbish it for another $100 or so.

Good deal. I know for my grill, replacing everything that needs fixing would be probably $250. Mine is only a $500 unit though :p
