Looks like this shit is fashionable nowadays. Fucking assholes.

Unless there is any color fading to your car it should be pretty straight forward. You’ll need to repaint the hood, left fender and left front door color should be bang on

mr00jimbo 07-11-2018 09:34 PM

Oh man that colour is beautiful. Where along terminal was it? Any chance of nearby businesses having cameras?

twitchyzero 07-11-2018 10:02 PM

Open Road Autobody (Richmond Autobody) did a great job matching the World Rally Blue on my WRX.

sorry this happened to you man, but i don't think you'll notice the difference if you go to any reputable shop, worst thing is you bring it back and have them redo it

Speed2K 07-12-2018 10:16 AM

FUUUUUUU! :yuno: Sorry this happened to you. FWIW, Starlite autobody in Burnaby matched my 10 year old SSM perfectly.

Nvasion 07-12-2018 08:26 PM

wont be any issues as long as the shop does quality work. if needed the shop will blend the color out to make it match.

ilovebacon 07-12-2018 11:48 PM

that fucker really doesn't have anything else better to do than to key cars...

Have you ever taken a look at pretty much every goldish-silver Corolla in Richmond that looks like it has 3 shades of the same colour on it? Especially light coloured cars... huge difference because of bleaching in the sun, paint chemically changing depending on the surface its applied to, etc.

Acura604 07-19-2018 08:26 AM

back in 2008, I 'scraped' this RDX along a cement pillar in those damn tight parkades... went to PENNEY AUTOBODY on marine/main... now keep in mind, this was relatively a brand new car.. .2008 RDX purchased new... this happened not even 6months in...and i'm pretty sure you guys can guess which door was repainted.

^ Im assuming it wasn't a claim? Not that it matters thats just a very poor workmanship. You complained and had it fixed?

Also...
Different paint manufacturers also yield slightly different color matches. Too many additional coats of clearcoat will also change the way the color refracts hence changing the color slightly. Too many variables when it comes to paint matching.

Was blending the front door and rear quarter panel suggested to you or was the damage smack in the middle of the rear door?

Korva matched my colour perfectly, however the wing wasn't painted all that well in other aspects. I'd go back based on the colour match alone, however spend more time looking for flaws when done. In fairness, they would have made it right had I not chosen to live with it, and fix it when getting another part of my wing painted.
