S2000 keyed..... body shop recommendations to match color 2004 S2000 in Suzuka blue Some cunt whore keyed it today along terminal. Hood and fender....need to repaint but is it hooped as in the new paint will be different than the old? A Jetway shop said they’d be able to match color at about 85% https://i.imgur.com/kwRCVAX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/c0mYsET.jpg |
Can't comment about the paintwork but I'm sorry this happened to you :( |
VIDEO: Vancouver vandal suspected of keying 78 cars on city's West Side Looks like this shit is fashionable nowadays. Fucking assholes. |
Unless there is any color fading to your car it should be pretty straight forward. You’ll need to repaint the hood, left fender and left front door color should be bang on |
Oh man that colour is beautiful. Where along terminal was it? Any chance of nearby businesses having cameras? |
ew suzuka blue he did you a favour :derp: |
Chu blue :troll: |
Open Road Autobody (Richmond Autobody) did a great job matching the World Rally Blue on my WRX. |
:gay:blue sorry this happened to you man, but i don't think you'll notice the difference if you go to any reputable shop, worst thing is you bring it back and have them redo it |
FUUUUUUU! :yuno: Sorry this happened to you. FWIW, Starlite autobody in Burnaby matched my 10 year old SSM perfectly. |
wont be any issues as long as the shop does quality work. if needed the shop will blend the color out to make it match. |
that fucker really doesn't have anything else better to do than to key cars... |
every shop will be able to match paint 100% thats what color codes are for |

back in 2008, I 'scraped' this RDX along a cement pillar in those damn tight parkades... went to PENNEY AUTOBODY on marine/main... now keep in mind, this was relatively a brand new car.. .2008 RDX purchased new... this happened not even 6months in...and i'm pretty sure you guys can guess which door was repainted. https://i.imgur.com/uZmxay5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pKvBdZ9.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qIbqZ2I.jpg |
^ Im assuming it wasn't a claim? Not that it matters thats just a very poor workmanship. You complained and had it fixed? |
^^ front bumper is too light and rear door is shit :D |

Different paint manufacturers also yield slightly different color matches. Too many additional coats of clearcoat will also change the way the color refracts hence changing the color slightly. Too many variables when it comes to paint matching. Quote:

Korva matched my colour perfectly, however the wing wasn't painted all that well in other aspects. I'd go back based on the colour match alone, however spend more time looking for flaws when done. In fairness, they would have made it right had I not chosen to live with it, and fix it when getting another part of my wing painted. |
