Hackintosh - Any experts

Curious to see if anyone uses a hackintosh or been playing around with one?

My iMac is getting a bit old and I have a computer that SHOULD be compatible just trying to get things rolling but running into issues with some drivers.

I had a stable Hackintosh with a 7700K and a Z270MX-Gaming 5. But then I did a system update and it fucked everything up and I went back to Windows, lol.

lol fuck, for some reason I can't get Nvidia drivers to work right. Just want to use FCP for video editing as I already paid for it and I don't want to subscribe to Adobe for their cloud services.

Are you using the correct web drivers?

If possible, I'd recommend trading your NVIDIA card in for an AMD card if you don't need the CUDA cores. I used a RX 480 when I had my Hackintosh. Works right out of the box.

Even with eGPU support built into MacOS now, NVIDIA cards still require a special patch to work.

Yea, I was thinking of it. Got a GTX970 already and it's not worth much if I upgrade....

but def something to think about as that is the one part that stopping me.
