2RMB napkin x 1? did you like split the napkin 4 ways? |
^^ well you see in China you carry your own pack of napkin everywhere you go since going to washroom 98% of them don't have tissue. So if you need to take a shit you need to have your napkins so people just learn to carry their own. |
^ yea I know, why bother ordering 1 napkin :troll: |
God damnit, so the next time I go to China and pay for stuff with cash (presumably I can't pay by wechat cause I gots no Chinese bank account), are people going to look at me like I'm some kind of idiot/country bumpkin? Do I have to change all my RMB into 1 RMB notes to avoid the "no change" problem? |

My friend went back to Shanghai last year and she was buying some Bao from this street vendor. The bun itself cost like $2RMB so she gave the guy $100RMB. Pretty funny as the guy was asking all the vendors around him for change. In the end she just bought a ton more stuff from all the other vendors coz they don't have change for $100RMB in total. She felt like an asshole that day lol. Or you can always ask the small store to add the change back to your wechat account. Honestly when I went back a few years ago yes a lot of people use wechat pay China version uber (De De dache) is accpecting wechat pay. You could still use cash back then. Now I am sure things have changed. At least with me I still have some money on my wechat pay account and I can accept and and pay but my parents who have issue even using their cell phone is going to have a lot of issue when they travel back to China this year...... Not sure how they will feel lol. https://i.imgur.com/PMLcNF1.jpg So yes cashless society does have its disadvantage. Also some people don't have credit cards due to bad credit history or even simply don't want one. Is actually really common for people not to have a credit card in Vancouver. |

I was traumatized the first time, and the last time.... Take rolls of toilet paper with you when you travel.... |

100% correct. Except the "toilet" is dirtier, there are stains and mold on the walls. The special is when you have to go near dusk and there is no light. Doing it in the dark. With mosquitos buzzing. |

Wechat takes credit card, so you can refill with that I finally installed it, added a credit card. Wanted to use it at a McDonalds kiosk, but my internet was crapping out so it wouldn't load the QR code FailFish technology LUL Also I don't like how it uses a PIN for security, rather than fingerprint |
