Have a question though.. for next year how many keepers are you planning on?

Typically keeper leagues don’t change the number of keepers unless it goes to a vote (at least in the few that I’m in). The whole point of a keeper league is obviously to build the best possible team while retaining the best players you can the following year.

Last year I made moves to give myself the best 5 keepers for this seasons, which completely back fired losing my 2nd round pick. In my opinion you should state a year in advance what your plan is for the following year because it changes the entire dynamic of “building” a team in my opinion.

I don’t wanna come across as a whiner, cause at the end of the day it’s all for fun.

There’s nothing wrong with a 3 person keeper, it does make it way more exciting at draft time but if you don’t know what the plan is the following year it changes the entire dynamic.

I changed it up because the new managers were complaining how they took over a shit team. Instead of doing a fresh draft, i opted for going with a low keeper number this year. I have not decided if changes will be done for next year or if it goes back up to 5.

I think 5 plus a goalie is too much. Maybe 5 total with no position lock or 3-5 with position lock.

Personally I think 4 total no position lock is a good compromise. (Or whatever we can come up with as a group)

As long as everyone is on the same page as the season starts I think that’s fair.

I would be fine with 4 or 5 without position lock

And I want consistent GM's, so I dont have to go chasing after people to see if they want in again. Ive had to replace GM's the last 2 yrs.

Fuck me, there was no talent left in the top 2 rounds. Make it one forward keeper, one defense keeper and one tendy. When an injured Bergeron is your best choice for the first round, that sucks.

That said, im down for the long term. Plus my boy is hooked. He loved his draft last night, and helped me with my utility drafts tonight too. That was a positive for me ;)

That said, Ghost is doing a damn good job. I only spewed my opinion because the topic was brought up already. The league is a lot of fun, and keeps me interested in the whole NHL, not just one team.
