The article doesn't provide a lot of detail. I would like to know more about how he got on the Ministry of Immigration's radar. What is his actual status in Canada? Which hate group was he a part of, what sort of things did they get up to, and what was his role? Why was he able to slip through, or allowed in, despite his past when he initially came to Canada? And so on.


I really like redemption stories so this is sad if true. He seems to have demonstrated a positive change in his life and the lives of others. If Trudeau can allow former ISIS fighters back into Canada and attempt to reintegrate them, I don't see why this man can't stay.

Harper put in to law that anyone that got Canadian citizenship through naturalization may lose it if found to have had a criminal conviction before acquiring Canadian citizenship.

How so? He resides in Chilliwack. The article, with its lack of detail, describes that he is being under threat of deportation for once being a member of a racist extremist group, which implies that the Canadian government doesn't believe he has been rehabilitated and still views him as a racist extremist, rather than someone who committed immigration fraud. That may not be the case, but I didn't write the article.

I admit the title is a bit of clickbait, but it was an attempt to show, especially in light of recent threads/posts of racism, that not everyone in the FV is a bigot.

I can't speak for everyone, but I came in fully expecting a racist rant video... but it's clear after reading the article he's anything but a racist. The title goes against what you're trying to show, just my opinion.

IIRC, a 90-year old former Nazi Concentration Camp guard was just deported from the US to Germany. He was Polish but held no other citizenship but US.

Could you source the information showing his participation in this group, that it is indeed an actual Nazi group (in the age of overuse, and often times incorrect use of such a label, I have to ask), or that he decided to flee to escape justice?

For all we, or at least I know, he had a change of heart during the risky birth of his daughter, turned on this group, and fled to Canada for fear of reprisal for his apostasy. Why would these various social justice groups go to bat for him if he escaped justice for attacking immigrants?

Omar Khadr was a born Canadian citizen, you can't take that away from him and make him stateless. As bad as the things that he did were.

What changed since his arrival? How did he end up on the Ministry's radar? Why are they looking to deport him now? Why didn't they attempt to contact the Ministry for a comment?

Groups like those make mistakes all the time, do you really expect them to have detailed knowledge of the actions of a group 20 years ago halfway around the world?

I don't know how these kinds of things work, but my guess would be the UK government put him on their radar because they want him back over there for whatever reason.

As for this, I remember hearing about it a few weeks ago. I'm guessing he isn't free and clear with the law there. Anything outstanding against him needs to go through due process.

the worst example is the guy in liberia, general butt naked. he killed and cannibalized thousands of people, and now he claims he's all christian and a changed man. that guy needs to be held accountable.
