Trading in Used Car worth more than new?
 
What happens if I trade in a car that worth more than the new one I buy? Will the dealership cut me a cheque for the difference?

I've only heard of it the other way around, not this way.

But you still kind of lose money because the trade in value would have given you a break from the sale tax deduction that you normally would have gotten.
