Escape From Tarkov

Anyone else playing this? It's probably the most detailed shooter around, if you're looking to jump in and blast people non stop probably not for you.

The mods you can do to weapons are pretty crazy, bit of a learning curve to the game but I've had fun with it.

I watched some Livestream when it came out and it looks amazing. Slow paced and tactical game. If I had a gaming rig I would be playing this for sure.

Berz out.

Just get the basic package, if you like the game and decide later you need more space in your inventory you can upgrade your account.

It's not perfect, I'm not sure I would say buggy but it's a beta for sure. At first I had a lot of fun, then I got tired of getting wrecked by dudes with god tier gear and took a break. Came back with a better understanding of how to level and where to go to not get wrecked. There is a lot of camping, slow paced movement and sound is more important then any other game I've played.

Overall I like it, I bought a copy for a friend he didn't like it so hit or miss I guess.

they are having their anniversary sale 25% off currently. Stick with the basic one until you understand the game as its not like any others out there and for reasons below.

I quite enjoy the game, once you understand the mechanics and maps its quite enjoyable. albeit buggy....

Game is fun, one of those ones you play off and on. Disappointed in the development team however. Game is almost 3 years old and still have yet to deliver on quite a few of their key issues. A lot of reviews will say its a love hate game... and I agree

Berzerker 10-13-2018 12:26 PM

What are the key issues that are a problem?

Berz out.

None of the issues in my mind will probably stop me from playing its definitely a super enjoyable game and i still play it. Albeit some game braking bugs... Really wish it be finished by now had it for almost 3 years LOL

This guy sums it up nicely.

saw shroud play it on twitch....its pretty much like the Ghost recon series where everything is dead quite and you're on edge for action and not sure if you hear someone or not till gun shots start ringing out.

if you don't have game sense and don't see the smallest part of somebody you're gonna suck ass at this game,it counts when you see every small movement in these type of games on large mass scale maps, you could easily own with sniper rifle alone long range if your an expert with it

Vansterdam 10-14-2018 06:18 AM

yup 25% off right now. goes on sale about 2-4 times a year

this comment pretty much sums it up

This sale makes sense. A lot of people have abandoned the game since the last update (including me) and there is a wipe coming soon so they gotta inject some fresh blood into the maps somehow. If you can tolerate lag, stuttering and network disconnections fairly often then this isn't a bad deal. But if you aren't willing to ride out some seriously shitty network issues on a multiplayer only game that is abusively unforgiving then you might wanna wait until they ACTUALLY fix some of their more vital issues before buying.

Also keep in mind that with every wipe/sale there seems to be resurgence of hackers and glitchers so dont be surprised if you enter a raid and see The Flash clear a field in seconds and hatchet your face off or some guy die holding a gun you cant loot from him.

how bad of a network issue r we talking about? like about as bad as the original dayz standalone where network issues would glitch u halfway into walls or under buildings and get stuck, or early PUBG where it takes seconds to do an action like opening doors/entering vehicles/picking up items?

No, it's not that bad. I've had some dysnc issues at time but overall it's not terrible.

I've played both versions of DAYZ I know the issues you're talking about and it's nothing like that.

DAYZ, FeelsBadMan

Yeah, I still play a few times a week. I've been playing for a while now, still terrible haha.

Vansterdam 12-20-2019 06:23 AM

been eyeing this game for the longest time. is it still buggy/glitchy?

rsx10 12-20-2019 07:19 AM

There have been a number of times when it glitches at random times but it has not bothered me thus far. I have disconnected from game a number of times but you have 3 minutes to get back in.

I'm really enjoying the looting part as anything i've picked up I can loose at anytime due to another player or computer shooting me in the face....

This game has blown up over the past 6-8 weeks, I'm just guessing but player base has probably increased 5 times or more in that period. It's mainly due to the streamers playing it now. In February #1 FPS and #3 overall streamed game on Twitch ahead of Fortnite.

I still play pretty regularly on the weekend, not that I'm great. A bunch of my friends that were on the fence have bought it, because of the steep learning curve it's been rough for me trying to show them what to do and where to do.

rsx10 02-18-2020 09:22 AM

Offline mode helps if you are worried about gear fear. I used it to practice different guns on AI, where the extract points are, and loot boxes location. Yes, you don't get anything from it but the experience of knowing where certain things are is invaluable.

For sure, I like to test out weapons on offline sometimes.

I don't really have gear fear to much, mind you I'm not running lvl 6 armor and ridiculous shit like that. Money isn't that hard to get IMO, if I start getting low I'll just do Cache Runs.

My hideout is mostly lvl 2-3 so I've spent a lot on that but yeah Rubles come and go pretty easy.

As far as killing people the most important thing to know in this game IMO is know the map, pick your battles and ammo type is everything.
