Revscene Reviews - 2018 Jaguar F-Type SVR

As you guys may or may not know Revscene has been doing vehicle reviews for the past 3 years.

Starting with a few vehicles here and then we've now branched now and started a new YouTube Channel. Check it out here: www.youtube.com/automotoreviewscanada

Here's our latest, the F-Type SVR

It's a bit longer than our usual but it was hard to keep this one short. Let me know what you guys think, any feedback is great.

I'm the one working behind the scenes on these videos and as aznboi said, please subscribe to our channel and any feed back (good or bad) let us know and we'll try to improve upon it.

overall, you can see that a lot of effort was put into the review, well done. Room for improvement:
- try reducing the intro from 2 minutes to like 30 seconds
- Don't record audio in a car during the rain
- not sure if there was a script but it seemed like a lot of ad libbing. Stick to a script so you are efficiently getting your message across.

Did you mention how you'll automatically get a VI in Vancouver because of the exhaust? :troll:

Definitely reduce the intro. Total video is over 20 minutes long, which is a relatively large time investment for most people on a single vehicle review. That's a full episode on TV when you account for commercials. If you could shorten it to 5-10 minutes, I think that's a good length.

Script = good, multiple takes, fact-checking prior to recording. Ad libbing while driving is good (honest reactions to driving is a plus), but definitely a well-rehearsed script while going through the features, exterior, and interior of the car.

Thanks for the feedback!

Does the infotainment system suck as much as the XF 3.5T I'm driving right now in San Francisco? The InControl app is horrible, why couldn't they just do Android Auto? Freakin Hertz, I booked a Volvo S90 and they give me a Jag...

I agree with what others have already stated.

Intro should be 30 sec tops, but it was very well done. It would look nice as a separate montage video, lol.

The raindrops were kind of annoying. You could probably go to an underground parkade if you must film on that day.

Sometimes when you're in mid sentence and you pause, and then say ,"well...", it gets noticeable and makes the dialogue less smooth, and overall, lengthens the video. The pacing could be better, and if it's scripted, that's fine. As long as you don't sound robotic like you're literally reading off something.

Here's some feedback from my personal opinion while watching:
It took about 10 mins before you got into the driving portion. To be honest, by that point, I was already starting to get a bit bored and overwhelmed with all the "long-winded" interior reviewing. If I was really interested in this car (as in a potential buyer), I wouldn't mind... But as a casual viewer just watching car reviews, that's probably more than enough info that I care for.

If you don't want to shorten the interior review, you can always mix it up a bit and do the audio reviewing while you're already on the road, or talk about the interior while the car is already going. It makes it more interesting if it's not so structured, like 1st portion = interior review/ 2nd portion = driving experience.

Most viewers are waiting for you to start up the car, so 10 mins is quite a long wait.

Thank you to everyone length of the video has always been a battle, sometimes it was too short with insufficient info a others they were too long. Still trying to find that fine line/balance.
