Residential Home Inspectors

Anyone know any good residential home inspectors/companies locally that can also travel to Alberta?

I need to get a private inspection done on a rebuilt house because the builder is a filthy scammer.

What's wrong with home inspectors that are located in Alberta that you would rather want a GVRD inspector to travel?

To prevent accidentally hiring someone that might have a conflict of interest

I can't offer you any local recommendation but I will recommend Steve from Admirable Inspections out of Edmonton AB.

Hands down Pillar to Post is the best around. They are located all across north america and are in Alberta as well so you won't have to pay someone extra money to travel.

I wouldn’t exactly equate a chain that has their own training program as the best.

My friend dated Tom, he’s kind of pompous and seems like he’s the type that goes over the top to persuay you to buy to prove he’s “so good” but I will admit he seems thorough and knowledgeable

Isn't building code a Provincial thing?... so a local one in BC might not be as experienced as one in AB with their particularities.

Hondaracer 10-16-2018 03:54 PM

Alberta has no building code, they’ve started using the national one as reference but also follow BC which is probably the best in Canada in terms of envelope

are house builders in alberta allowed to deny private inspections by the owners? This guy is not letting me book an apppintment till the occupancy permit is done and i have possesion.
