I believe 878 is the lump sum amount. Winner will still get taxed on the 878 if taking the lump sum.

If they take the full payout, it would be $1.537B over 29 years, which is $53M per year.. I would probably still take the lump sum, but $53M per year isn't bad..

^maybe, but I'm 30 USD poorer. I bought 30 bucks worth of them fricken tickets. Got caught up in all the hype, lol. Haven't bothered to check the numbers yet.
