Two Metro Vancouver police officers who were acquitted on sexual assault charges in Cuba last week won't be coming home just yet, with news that the prosecution has filed an appeal.

Const. Mark Simms, 29, of the Vancouver Police Department, and Const. Jordan Long, 31, of the Port Moody Police Department, have been held in Cuba since mid-March. They were arrested while on vacation in Varadero after a 17-year-old tourist from Ontario reported she had been sexually assaulted.

The girl then got out of bed, entered the bathroom, grabbed Jordan by the neck and tried to pull his face toward her in an effort to kiss him. He didn’t want anything to do with her and pulled away and went out onto the balcony.

Upset by Jordan’s rejection, the girl then climbed back onto the bed with Mark and, being a young, healthy, single male, consensual activity ensued.

Does anyone believe this? It makes it sound like the 17 year old forced him to have sex with her.

Why does that article refer to the two cops as "boys", LOL come on now.

apparently the cuban supreme court dropped everything and ruled the girl fabricated the allegations

the officers are now back in canada, under investigation by their own police departments

they are prepared to sue the girl

Was anyone else hoping the word Cain would be in there?

Being wrongfully accused sucks doesn’t it. Sigh

offer a lie detector test for each member involved and see what happens.

It's always the heavy one. I was in Cabo in an all inclusive resort and a fat chick just wouldnt stop harassing our group by the pool. Flailing her arms being the center of attention saying I'm pretty, let's fuck, my parents are rich etc...

One can only take so much and I'm pretty liquored up as well so I pushed her and she rolled a legit 4x like a tumbleweed. Luckily no one had an issue with it and I manage to keep on drinking.

I count my blessings because I could of easily been caught up like these cops situation.

The women must be even more cringey nowadays since vlogging / streaming took off.
