Jeopardy host Alex Trebek announcement: Stage 4 pancreatic cancer More sad news from the US entertainment industry. Jeopardy game show host Alex Trebek makes an announcement today about his health. He has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. :tears: https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/06/enter...cer/index.html |
Yea fuckkkk...so sad.. Lifelong jeopardy fan, Alex always came off with grace and dignity and was always a ultra proud Canadian even though he became a giant in the American media world. This is one that’s going to really hurt for me if he can’t beat it :( |
:( |
Oh man! That’s sad. He can come off like a prick sometimes haha but so sad. Love Jeopardy. |
So very sad to hear. Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer is basically a death sentence. I don't think anyone has survived it. It's just a matter of time and it's painful. Hope he has plenty of time to say good-bye to his loved ones and may he suffer as little as possible. My prayers go out to him and his family. |
I'll take what the fuck for 500 Alex. Poor guy, he's an institution. |
My uncle had this a few years back and it's fucking horrible. He used to be a pretty big guy (well built, not fat) but he ended up turning into this stick thin shell of his former self. :( |

Yea there have been a few local personalities who actually survived for a bit but it seems like everyone eventually dies.. And since he said he’s gonna keep working etc I think he knows it’s inevitible. :( |
Shit I just watched the 'Game Changers' documentary last weekend https://www.cbc.ca/documentarychanne.../game-changers EDIT: Looks like the free preview is over. Cancer sucks. I lost a good friend of mine to it 3 weeks ago. She was in her late 50s and looking after 6 kids who were not hers full time while working full time. She also looked after 2 more kids off and on. We had all kinds of friendly nicknames for her like 'Den Mother' and 'The old lady who lived in a shoe'. She was a real saint and shining example of what humans should do for each other. Not sure why cancer always takes the good people away... |
hopefully he's doing everything he can to try fight it...CBD's..ect.. you never know. |
Art Fleming, the original host from jeopardy died from pancreatic cancer and now Alex Trebek has it. Kinda weird |
I've lost to friends to this. One very quickly and they other long and drawn out after the whipple procedure. I'd hope Trebek would consider retiring immediately to start working away at his bucket list. |
I heard his announcement on the radio, where he brought it up during the show. Not a hint of emotion in his voice. That’s crazy. That’s 30+years of tv experience showings it face. I’d be a wreck. |
