Cell phone plan for a friend visitng A friend is visiting for about a month or so and looking to get her a cell phone plan. Freedom mobile is out of the questions since service is crap. Chatr plan is only 3g which isn't all the attractive when you look at their pricing. Rogers/Bell/Telus is too expensive. My only options are Fido or Koodo Mobile. Fido and Koodo both have a $50plan with 4GB of data and 500min talk time. I know Fido is pretty rebile but never use Koodo. Which company is better and is there anyway to avoid paying the activation fee? Any other suggestions? |
Could look at Public mobile https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/plans Uses the Telus network, prices are quite reasonable. |

Anyways went to Best buy mobile got the $50 4GB, 500 daytime min and unlimited evening and weekends from Fido. It also gives her 1000min international calls to China so she can call her parents/grandparents as well. They were able to wave to activation fee which is good. |
I don't understand how it works, but Chinese friends and my mother-in-law can buy CAD52 Sim card online, get you 30 days and 200gb 4G data that cover the entire North America (Canada, USA, Mexico). They say it use AT&T network, though the activation is a bit complicated, however it works fine. all in Chinese. https://traveldetail.fliggy.com/item...d=&abbucket=19 |
